poly_to_fgong

The poly_to_fgong tool converts polytropic stellar models in the POLY format, to evolutionary models in the FGONG format. In this conversion, a stellar mass \(M = 1\,\Msun\) and radius \(R = 1\,\Rsun\) are presumed.

Syntax

poly_to_fgong in_filename out_filename drop_outer

Parameters

in_filename: File name of input POLY file

out_filename: File name of output FGONG file

drop_outer: Flag to drop outer-most point (which is singular when the surface pressure/density vanish)

Output

The output is written to the out_filename file.
